The Nights Are Packed

The days are rolling by.  This is the 9th day of imposed isolation due to the Corona Virus.  Each day holds excitement and brings new challenges.  Waking up after a night of Corona dreams is welcomed and as the reality of the new day sinks in, this Grandpa wonders what new dreams are on the schedule?

Nightly dreams have been a way of life for years.

·        Dreams of family - living and passed on,
·        Dreams of animals – dogs, cats, rhinoceros, koalas,
·        Dreams of food
·        Dreams of helicopters – viewing and piloting
·        Dreams of jogging or even running

The dream list is as endless as the night is long, or in some cases, short.  I have always been a dreamer, an active dreamer, much to the dismay of Grandma.  Legs and arms are moving throughout the night causing Grandma to gently or not so gently give a prod to this active body.

The Helicopter dreams have been especially interesting to Grandpa and the rest of the family.  One dream displayed me as the helicopter. Somehow, I became the helicopter and flew myself.

Another such dream featured me as the pilot of the helicopter.  Let me add here, I have never flown in a helicopter nor am I a licensed pilot. I enjoy watching flight videos…and that’s about as close to piloting that this Grandpa has come.

Another favorite dream involves jogging and running.  As a younger man, I did enjoy jogging, feeling the wind in my face, and following endless streets and paths.  The dreams follow my past jogging routes and allow me to feel the wind of dreams for a brief time.

Here’s hoping that the Corona dreams will end soon, allowing new dreams to visit.

Take care and dream a little dream for me.
