Turning 50

A good friend celebrated her 50th birthday with cake from Coldstone Creamery.  Happy birthday dear friend and wishing you many more. We had a choice between 2 cakes and I was good and had one slice.

We actually had cake in our church fellowship time prior to this.  Rosauers supplied 2 large sheet cakes - Chocolate and Vanilla with strawberry icing.  Soooooo, I am caked out for a short time.  Talk with me tomorrow should you wish to invite us out for cake.

Fifty years, now that's a long time.  Born in 1965, this friend saw the first man on the moon, born on the same day as Charlie Sheen, Brooke Shields, and Kevin James.  This friend has also seen the rise of Cell Phones to the point of Everyone having one.  Imagine taking your home phone with you...away from home!  That's amazing!  No more waiting to check messages when you get home from work, the store or church.  Also your phone is much more, it is your personal assistant, holding your calendar dates, shopping lists, and your contacts list. Don't lose that phone!


Turning 50 is a point of honor - you made it half a century and you are going strong.  Happy birthday and keep on going.

None Other Name

The Three Minute Grandparent: None Other Name Teaching others was nothing new; sharing new ideas with interested people was also a part of life.  Getting called on the carpet for sharing personal beliefs, now that was new and uncalled for to him.  He had just helped someone and everyone around was happy and pleased with his work.  He had just been asked why he was doing all of these good deeds and about his motivation, when the law showed up.  Arrested and taken to a meeting of leaders, he found himself in the middle of a circle, a circle of accusation. Questions were hurled at him as the leaders grew more and more angry. Beginnings

I don't remember my childhood, it's a blank screen.  Oh, I've tried to draw out thoughts.....anything at all.....just a fragment of perhaps a birthday party, or a favorite school teacher.  There's nothing there.  I just can't remember.
