Weather Change
Don't like the weather?? Stick around, it will change in 5 minutes. I heard that saying while growing up in the South, going to school in Central Florida, living in Texas and now living in Montana. The weather can change in a moment's notice, seemingly. We check the weather regularly on the internet and have learned to accept change as a matter of fact.
Change...the word can excite and frighten. As a child, I asked my Father when I would grow up. I wanted change...right then. Now that I am older and "grown up", I wish that I could return to....well, you get the idea.
Many changes have been wonderful; marriage to the most wonderful woman in the world, 4 wonderful children and 2 of them with wonderful spouses, friends, getting to know my Mother and sisters as a grownup....many great changes that I embrace.
Some changes have been hard to accept; aging and all that accompanies the process. Looking into the mirror get rougher each year, working out at the gym get tougher each year. The death of friends is hard.
The one unchangeable part of my life is Jesus. "I AM The Lord, I do not change." Malachi 3:6
As my world changes daily, I am so thankful for Jesus, The unchangeable one, who lives in me and loves me.
